Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.00%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Bank of Cyprus Holdings PLC (AT:BOCHGRr), which rose 4.02% or 0.17 points to trade at 4.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) added 1.64% or 0.01 points to end at 0.31 and Piraeus Port (AT:OLPr) was up 1.43% or 0.40 points to 28.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Intralot (AT:INLr), which fell 5.72% or 0.06 points to trade at 0.94 at the close. Ellaktor SA (AT:HELr) declined 3.03% or 0.05 points to end at 1.73 and Cars Motorcycles and Marine Engine Trade and Import Company SA (AT:MTDr) was down 2.81% or 0.08 points to 2.59.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 72 to 42 and 22 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.05% or 28.20 to $2,704.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.53% or 0.38 to hit $71.31 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.41% or 0.31 to trade at $74.61 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.83% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.81% at 104.14.
